Love Brigade 360

Did you ever feel like your life has come full circle sometimes?  In September of 2008 I was an intern for Love Brigade, helping them with their fall presentation of the Ex Oh line.  In case you missed it, it was one of the coolest things I have ever seen!  Now cut to today, when Miss Alyssa Key hands me this ribbon from the 2008 presentation to put up in the store.  The very same ribbon that I spent one very long all nighter way back in 2008, ironing our logo onto.

Check out these amazing photos from the presentation:

And  this video of the presentation from our friends at Threadbanger.

Today I wrapped that infamous ribbon around one of our store mannequins!

Like what you see?  Many of the Ex Oh items are on sale right now at the Love Brigade store (230 Grand St btwn Driggs & Roebling).  Hope to see you there!

Spankin' New!

Check out the Spankin' new jewelry we received this week. These pictures are just a small glimpse of the much wider selection available exclusively at our store (234 Grand St, BK).

These pieces are created by Detroit based fashion designer and fine artist Lauren Rassel, who works with mixed mediums to create one of a kind accessories, clothing, installations and scultptures. Fusing repurposed materials with a traditional education in fashion design + fine art Rassel produces functional pieces made by hand with artist apprentices.
Initially, a model and makeup artist, Rassel decided to become a designer while living in Paris in 2002. Inspired by the cooperative nature of  'Le Shop', a famous mecca of stores within a store she returned to the US inspired by independent Parisian designers like Tim Bargot. In 2002, she  began selling handmade clothes and custom painted purses online and in boutiques in Detroit area.
The signature line 'Lauren Rassel' was born in 2011 with a heavy emphasis on accessories, sizelessness and wearability. Rassel's pieces aim to stand out and encourage a break from aesthetic uniformity.

And now 'Lauren Rassel' jewelry is available at Love Brigade!
